The Thermalright AMD AM5 Secure Frame V2 (Black) is a CNC-machined aluminium contact frame that replaces the stock AM5 socket bracket to solve two common problems in one part: CPU bending and messy thermal paste. It applies even mounting pressure across the CPU for better cooler contact and lower temperatures, while its built-in paste guard keeps thermal paste off the edges of the chip.
1. Prevents CPU Bending & Improves Cooling
The stock AM5 retention mechanism can flex the CPU and cause uneven contact with your cooler. The Secure Frame V2 clamps the processor with balanced, even pressure — keeping it flat and improving heat transfer, which can lower CPU temperatures on high-end and overclocked Ryzen systems.
